Hi Judy, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
My intelligence and integrity are very important to me. However, after 13 years of chronic fatigue, there is NOTHING that is more important to me than energy. I had what I thought was everything. A wonderful business, a beautiful home, great friendships, and then no energy. It took a lot of asking questions and being incredibly curious to find the answers.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Judy Sabah Master Certified Coach. I’ve done lots of great work that I’m really proud of. And at the same time, I feel that my greatest work is still ahead of me. All the challenges I have faced and won, have given me even more experience and wisdom. I’m the founder of the Colorado Chapter of the International Coaching Federation. May 2026 we’ll celebrate 30 years of this awesome chapter. My deceased husband and I cofounded the Colorado Chapter of the National Speakers Association. September 2024, we celebrated our 40th anniversary of being a Chartered Chapter. These organizations and the work that I do in speaking, coaching and mentoring others, brings me joy beyond words. My speaking is always centered around Communication. For the last 25 years, since 1999, I’ve been involved in the study and use of Axiology, the Science of Value. Many people have not ever heard about this Science and the Power that it has in our world.
Axiology has three values. Intrinsic, extrinsic, and systemic. Intrinsic has the most value. Anything and everything that is living is intrinsically valuable, one of a kind, totally irreplaceable. That includes all humans, plants, animals, bugs, etc. Extrinsic value has a little less value. It has to do with our roles in the world, material things, and money. Systemic value has the least amount of value. It has to do with the rules. Shoulds, ought’s, and anything related to the rules. We have an assessment that measures where are thinking and decision-making abilities lie in 36 different areas, all coming from our attention to these values. As a result of the assessment, we become aware of our assets and our biases. If we live and make decisions from our biases, we can only play our B Game. When we focus our thinking and decisions on our assets, we play our A Game. Makes Life lots of Fun!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I was six years old, living in Hays, Kansas, with my mother and grandparents after my mom and dad had separated, on June 3, I was asleep upstairs in the middle of the night. I was awakened by commotion downstairs. I went down to the bottom of the stairs and asked the person there what was going on. I was told, “you don’t need to know, go back to bed”. That moment is why I am doing what I am doing today. What had occurred was, my grandmother passed away. She had been sick. I felt dismissed and not heard. Over the next several years I decided that I would become the very best listener I could be. That is what I have done.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
During the time that I had chronic fatigue for 13 years, no energy, seeing my business and my life go by and not being able to do anything about it, there were a number of times that I thought about giving up. I imagine it’s only because of how I used my belief in God and Spiritual Mind Treatment that I was able to get past that. It was very challenging.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So, our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends all know that my health and the health of everyone really matters to me. I also find a tremendous amount of value in Bioenergetics, which is a natural medicine way of dealing with the issues and symptoms we experience in our body. Bioenergetics is what helped me move out of chronic fatigue. I found it two years ago. Last year I became a Certified Bioenergetics Practitioner. I might add, that many of my friends even though they know health is important to me and that I found my answers in Bioenergetics, they don’t agree with me and continue with other forms of dealing with their symptoms and issues.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had only 10 years left there is not really that much I would change. I would continue as I am now with the work that I love, helping people make the quality of their lives the very best it can be. That is what I focus on now for myself and would likely up level the game if I knew I had only 10 years left. I’m studying a lot about aging and longevity right now. More and more information is becoming available. In a video I watched yesterday it said we ought to be living till 120. That seems like a good plan for me.
