Story & Lesson Highlights with Kaylie Roth

We recently had the chance to connect with Kaylie Roth and have shared our conversation below.

Kaylie , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
What makes me lose track of time and find myself I would say is either Dance or when I am out doing photography. Being able to do the things I enjoy and love helps me reset, ground myself, and it reminds me why I do what I do. There hasn’t been a time doing either of those things where time hasn’t flown by,

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Kaylie Michelle- I own a promotion company that helps Artists, Brands, and individuals get there name out there and make a splash in the social media & music world. The main focus for Kaylie Michelle Promotions is making sure every creative idea comes to life. What makes us different is we don’t focus on just one thing- I help with concert photography, bookings, social media promotions, emailing radio stations, creating ads for brands, and overall creating friendships with those I help.
When it comes to creating something to help the brands, artists, and individuals I really focus on what is their “why” and how we can implement that to make it more inviting and “them”. I do my best to make sure the audience learns about my clients and that it is a welcoming presence and interactive.
My brand is currently expanding in the concert photography and how many others we help at one time. I am really wanting to get even more hands on and gain more clientele that way I can help more than a few at a time. Traveling to shows or helping brands/individuals truly brings me joy.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband Tyler saw me clearly before I saw myself. He has always believed in me and saw the hard work and how much I could impact other’s lives before I even knew to believe in myself. He has always saw me in the brightest light and continues to help me grow and be more confident in me. He motivates me to be better constantly all while truly supporting and loving me for me. I am still working on truly seeing myself for who I am but, without him I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am incredibly thankful for him and how much he supports my dreams.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power almost 7 years ago. Having my son made me realize a lot of stuff I needed to release and it taught me to use the pain rather than it eat me alive. It has turned into me growing my dreams and showing my kids you can do whatever you put your mind to, taking care of myself day in and out, and also pursing dance/ teaching littles how to dance. It has made me stronger and reminded me that pain is power overall. Its just a matter on how you use it to work through it.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say yes, the public version of me is the real me. I would say I am less confident behind closed doors but also I have a hard time not just being me. My goal is always to make others smile, happy, and help motivate them/support their goals. I think it is important especially in the job I do to just be yourself and stick to who you are.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What light inside you have you been dimming?
I would say how actually extroverted I am. I tend to hold myself back in fear of being too much but as I grow older I have realized my light and being silly me is what those around me tend to enjoy more vs. holding myself back and just being quiet or fit into a box. I am unique and I am truly starting to own the fact I am different and that’s okay- No one makes it far without sticking out.
