Khalilah, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Who are you learning from right now?
I am learning from my daughter. She moved across the country by herself at the age of 18 to go to school. She has taught me that it’s definitely okay to start your new journey alone.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Khalilah Morris and I am 4 time Author & Writing Coach. I have self published A Feen’s Family, Behind the Smoke Journal, Push Through, & This is why we say no. My story explains how families are couping with substance abuse. I may not be an expert but I have second experience with family & drug addiction. That is what I am known for. I spread Smoke in a different way. You may ask What is Smoke. For those that dont know. Smoke is the drama that you are experiencing in your life. Given my common question to all, are you ready for the Smoke?
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Now that I have wrote Afeens family and Push Through. I believe that those stories have served a purpose in written form for me as an author. Now I’m ready to move on to screen writing and acting out what happens in situations like A Feen’s Family.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, definitely. There have been time’s when I wanted to stop my Author’s journey. Although I wrote books on families dealing with substance abuse. When I first started in the writing community. I didn’t believe i would have an audience. Because there’s not alot of stories out like mine. So I wanted to stop sharing my story until my writing coach Lady Ty The Great influenced me to keep pushing. That my story mattered.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
AI can do everything for you. Although it helps. AI cannot give the creativeness that we need to share our story

If I had 10 years left on this earth to enjoy. I would immediately stop working and 9 to 5. And continue my lifespan as a full time Author.
