Hi Matiyah , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Accepting who they are. So it makes it hard to be confident for some people.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a 31yr old female (stud) artist out of sherman tx.
I go by Ngbgogetta meaning (never going back always go get it)
I started music back as a youngin,Me and my cousin we use to record songs through the speaker of the radio onto a cassette tape. Which got lost in the fire a while back. My 1st show was,Back in 2015, at sxsw in Austin. 2019 I opened up for kirko bangz in Los Angeles 2021 I opened up for kirko bangz in a town 15min. Away from my home town. 2021 I got interscope records artist out of houston tx ombbloodbath on my song ‘lately’. IN 2023 I signed a distribution deal with Bentley
Records. In 2024 my song Black Roses reached peakes, even got noticed by DDG. My music journey has been unbelievable. Cant wait to expand.
I also have a merch brand Long Live Apparel.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a basketball player only thinking about going to the wbna and taking care of my family

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me, how to appreciate everything. From the way I thought, talked even walked. You can self sabotage when your suffering from LIFE, meaning things you can’t control. And that’s not a good head space to be in. Thank you to self love.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My time and my peace of mind. I don’t feel like I ever had peace in my world. And I’m always giving time to things and people and counting myself out of my own goals.
