We recently had the chance to connect with Michele Harper and have shared our conversation below.
Michele, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
What’s most misunderstood is that I simply offer beauty, styling, or healing services—as if they’re separate things. But what I actually do is transform how women see themselves. I don’t just pick the right lipstick or outfit, I align your outer expression with your inner truth.
People often assume I’m in the business of appearances, when in reality, I work at the energetic level—through style, scent, skincare, and spiritual practices—to activate confidence, clarity, and power.
My services may look like makeup, fashion, or facials on the outside, but underneath, they’re rituals of reclamation. They’re designed to help you feel beautiful, whole, and magnetically yourself—in a world that too often tells women to shrink or hide.
I’m not here to sell beauty. I’m here to restore it from within.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Harper—founder of MetaBeauté, creator of The Beauty Oracle, and a lifelong beauty alchemist. I’m a personal stylist, esthetician, Reiki master, and hypnotherapist with over three decades in the luxury beauty and fashion world. But what I really do is help women feel seen, powerful, and beautiful—inside and out.
My work blends high fashion with high frequency. Whether I’m curating your wardrobe, designing a skincare ritual, or guiding you through a transformative beauty meditation, it’s all about aligning your outer image with your inner energy. My brand is where style meets soul.
Right now, I’m developing tools and experiences—from oracle decks to energy facials—that awaken confidence and self-expression in bold, beautiful ways. Because beauty isn’t vanity—it’s a vibration.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
It was when I took $200, a bold idea, and the unwavering belief in my own creativity—and launched Look from London Hosiery. As a young Black woman in the fashion industry in the ‘80s and ‘90s, I wasn’t handed opportunities—I created them.
That feeling—of seeing my vision manifest against the odds, of creating beauty on my own terms—that was power. And that same energy runs through every brand I create to this day.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of being too much. Too bold, too creative, too powerful. I used to dim my light to fit in—but that only kept me from my purpose. Now, I know that what I once feared is exactly what makes me unforgettable.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That beauty is only skin deep. That style is superficial. That confidence can be bottled or bought.
The truth is, real beauty starts in the energy field. The industry sells quick fixes and perfection, but what women truly crave is authentic connection—to themselves, their bodies, their radiance.
The biggest lie? That we need to be fixed in the first place. My work is about remembering that we were never broken—we were just waiting to return to ourselves.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
That it was just about beauty or fashion. My legacy isn’t about trends—it’s about transformation.
People may see the glamour, but miss the deeper work: the energy healing, the empowerment, the way I helped women remember their worth. My true legacy lives in every woman who saw herself differently because of something I created.
