Miles Brown shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Miles , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are spent in the gym, pushing myself to be physically and mentally stronger than I was the day before.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a brand experience designer and the founder of Relentless Design Co., a Kansas City-based design studio that specializes in custom micro-embossing, brand identity and web design. From innovative start-ups to world-renowned brands, we commit to transforming the essence of each brand into a distinguished and compelling narrative that stands out in the global marketplace.
My unconventional journey into design began in 2010, when I first learned the art of custom micro-embossing. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working on countless trading cards for leading industry brands—a craft that ignited my obsession with all things design. Everything from print production and specialty finishing to typography, layout, logo systems, visual identities and beyond, I’ve dedicated my career to continually improving my craft and expanding my expertise.
Originally founded as MicroLine Design, the company evolved over nearly 13 years into what is now Relentless Design Co. In 2024, I rebranded to better reflect our expanded services in brand identity and web design, while infusing the business with my personality, values, and vision.
Today, I’m proud to say we’ve partnered with businesses of all sizes and industries—ranging from real estate, to beauty, to construction, to office furnishing, to security and defense—helping bring their visions to life and tell their stories with clarity, style, and impact.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of truly feeling powerful came eight years ago, when I swung a 35-pound kettlebell for nearly two hours straight without a break at my uncle’s gym, Revolution Gym. That moment shattered my shell, unleashed the strength that had been dormant my entire life, and forged my relentless mindset. It proved that we can accomplish far more than the limits our minds try to convince us of.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Countless times, in countless situations. One of my biggest regrets is giving up on something when I was a teenager—a choice that still sticks with me. That regret has become my fuel, a constant reminder to never quit on anything ever again. I’ve learned there’s a big difference between giving up and letting go: giving up is accepting defeat and choosing to quit, while letting go is recognizing that something no longer serves a purpose and adds value or happiness to your life.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. Transparency and honesty are at the core of my values. Those closest to me will tell you the same: what you see is exactly who he is.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
He was relentless in his efforts to be better than he was yesterday, motivating others along the way, always adding value and making people’s lives better.
