We’re looking forward to introducing you to Nubia Martin del Campo . Check out our conversation below.
Nubia, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think one of the biggest misunderstandings about what I do is that people think it’s just a detox challenge or some trendy wellness thing. But it’s much more than that. I actually teach women how to live with fewer toxins—how to support their detox organs, understand how chemicals affect their bodies, and use food to boost their immune system, balance hormones, improve sleep, reduce allergies, and feel better overall.
It’s not about following a strict plan or relying on a coach forever. I give them the tools and knowledge so they can make confident choices and create a lifestyle that works for their family and their own rhythm. It’s simple, clear, and realistic.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Nubia, a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist and low-tox living educator based in San Diego. I help women—especially moms—reduce unnecessary toxins from their homes, bodies, and routines through simple, realistic changes.
What makes my approach unique is that I don’t just talk about eating healthy or buying “clean” products. I go deeper. I teach how your detox organs actually work, how to support them with the right foods and habits, and how to build a lifestyle that protects your health without falling into fear or perfectionism.
This all started from my own journey—my son had allergies, I had no energy, and I realized something needed to change. Years of studying, testing, and applying gave birth to my signature 12-week program: Tu Hogar Natural (Your Natural Home), where I guide women step-by-step through a full body-and-home reset.
Right now, I’m focused on growing this community of conscious women and making this knowledge more accessible—because when moms feel empowered, everything changes at home.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad taught me the most about work.
He’s someone I watched every single day, waking up with joy and purpose, ready to show up—often for more than 12 hours a day. He truly loves what he does. His work is his passion, and even now, when he no longer needs to work, he still does it—because it keeps him alive, engaged, and connected to people.
He built his business from the ground up and found a second family in his workplace. He’s always learning. On his days off, his favorite thing to do was buy books. He knows something about almost everything. He’s also incredibly disciplined.
I didn’t even realize when I started to become like him—constantly learning, always active, never staying still. His example shaped how I approach work and growth today.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back the most was thinking I wasn’t enough.
For years, I compared myself to others—always feeling behind, unqualified, or not ready. But I realized the real competition is with who I was yesterday, not with anyone else. I’ve worked hard to embrace my journey, trust in my voice, and remind myself that preparation and purpose are more powerful than perfection. Growth comes when you show up, even if you’re still figuring it out.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in the wellness and food industry is the illusion created by green marketing — all those packages labeled “organic,” “natural,” “non-GMO,” or “healthy,” that make people believe they’re making a good choice. But when you turn the package around and actually read the ingredients, you realize many of these products are still highly processed and far from nourishing.
Ultraprocessed foods are industrial creations that contain little—if any—real food. They’re loaded with sugar, salt, additives, and other ingredients that alter their natural form. And while some may look “clean” or claim health benefits, they’re still part of the problem. Many people are eating these foods daily, thinking they’re eating healthy—when in reality, they’re unknowingly exposing their bodies to ingredients linked to chronic inflammation and disease.
That’s why I’m passionate about educating people — especially women and mothers — on how to read labels, understand what those ingredients really mean, and recognize what’s actually nourishing. When we know what’s in our food, we reclaim the power to choose better — not based on packaging or promises, but on real knowledge.
Because healing starts with awareness. And awareness begins with education.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
What I would truly regret is not trying — not following through on the ideas and passions that live in my heart. As a mom of two, with a family and a business centered around education in nutrition and low-tox living, I know that taking action isn’t just about me. It’s about setting an example.
If I were to stop pursuing what I believe in — just because it’s hard, or because I’m afraid — I’d be sending the wrong message to my kids, to my clients, and to the women I serve every day.
I encourage my clients to push through, to change habits, to reclaim their health even when life is busy… how could I not do the same for myself?
So yes, I’d regret not doing what lights me up. I’d regret not building the life and impact I know I’m capable of. Because even when the road is hard, we must always keep moving — forward and upward. That’s the kind of legacy I want to leave. Not perfection, but courage in action.
