We’re looking forward to introducing you to Richie Jaynes. Check out our conversation below.
Richie, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I would say my family. One of the hardest things to do is build a very successful business while not losing your family along the way. I am very proud to say. My wife and I have been married 33 years. Have two beautiful very successful grown daughters and two amazing granddaughters. My wife and I were very intent about how we raised our daughters and intent on keeping our priorities in order.
1. Faith
2. Family
3. Friends
4. Career
We prided ourselves on making sure no matter what success would not get in the way of our family. Instead we would use success to make our family stronger.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Richie Jaynes and I would be considered a serial entrepreneur. Since I can remember I have always been interested in running my own business. Starting at a very early age of 8 mowing yards to today where I won and operate a 50 state Telehealth company that specializes in GLP-1’s peptides, TRT and ED medications.
We saw a problem and a kink in the telehealth system and we came in and created a new solution and experience for the patient. Making the process like a true e commerce experience rather than a stale sterile Dr office feel. We simplified the process and basically flipped the script (no pun intended) on how you get your weight loss and health prescriptions.
Not only have we created a whole new experience. We also offer a whole new lifestyle support platform Ensuring you have a higher chance of long term success. We have support tools that truly give you a higher chance of success with your prescription. Something no other telehealth platforms do.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
I would not say who but what taught me the most about work. Since I can remember. have always been involved in sports. Particularly football. I played from the age of 8 all the way through college and then coaching on the collegiate level.
The work ethic and discipline that football taught me has ben unmatched to anything else in my life. The mentors I have also had in my life and what they taught me about discipline and work ethic. Is more than I could have ever wished for.
Sports is such a great thing for life lessons and all the things it instills in you. Not only form the work ethic and discipline side of things but also the grit and determination along with tenacity. All traits it takes to be successful in life and business.
I have always said I will always lean toward hiring a high level athlete over non athlete 99% of the time.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
More ties than you could imagine, but the key thing I only quit for about a minute. That is the key. You can quit as long as it is very temporary. Meaning for a minute a most.
Quitting can be a habit. If you really quit and do it once. the second time becomes easier. Many successful people have quit but only for a few seconds.
Quitting can be liked getting knocked down. There is nothing wrong with getting knocked down. You just have to get right back up right away
This is where my sports background kicks in. In sports you got knocked down and quit but you got right back up and show perseverance.
I never allowed quitting become a habit
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I truly believe there is no other way to live. What happens behind closed doors eventually comes out in the open. Another way I like to put it. What happens in the dark will always come to light. One other way. Light will always shine through eventually.
You can only fake things for so long before the truth comes out. Your true self will eventually show itself
I also believe this has a lot to do with your character and integrity. Which I value extremely high. Once you lose it. You really never ever get it back.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
This is a very simple one and will be very short. I truly believe people will say I loved my family with all my heart and soul and that my faith with Jesus Christ was a solid. That is all they will need to say as that will speak volumes about the rest of my life
