Story & Lesson Highlights with Samantha Keller

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Samantha Keller. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Routine. Routine. Routine.
✔ Walk the dog
✔ Hit a workout
✔ Drink 16 oz of water
✔ Eat 20+g of protein
✔ Show up ready to work
It’s not glamorous, it’s consistent.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi there!! I’m Sam, I’m the founder and host of Raising Serotonin, a podcast and wellness community dedicated to helping people prioritize their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. My journey started from a place many of us know too well, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and struggling with anxiety, fatigue, etc, despite trying to “do it all right.”

Through years of learning, experimenting, and healing, I discovered that small, intentional changes in mindset, nutrition, movement, and self-care can create massive shifts in how we feel, think, and show up in our lives. Raising Serotonin is my way of sharing those insights, resources, and stories, not just from me, but from others doing incredible work in wellness, personal growth, and mental health. I am currently in school to receive my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I will graduate with that degree in August 2027, and will become licensed and start practicing as soon as possible.

What makes my community unique is that we focus on practical, approachable strategies while honoring the real, messy, human side of life. Whether it’s sharing tools to manage stress, ideas for low and non-toxic living, or conversations that help you feel seen and understood, my mission is to help people find joy, energy, and balance in ways that are sustainable.

Right now, I’m working on expanding our podcast episodes and community to provide even more support for emotional resilience, wellness, and personal growth, helping people feel empowered to raise their own serotonin, one small shift at a time.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was when someone told me something I desperately needed to hear: that if I didn’t start choosing to love myself, I was going to live a miserable life.

Up until that point, I was constantly blaming the world, and everyone around me, for what was happening, instead of seeing it as happening for me. That conversation was a wake-up call. It made me realize that the power to change my life wasn’t out there, it was inside me. From that moment on, I started taking ownership, choosing self-love, and seeing challenges as opportunities for growth.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
The life you were given isn’t your enemy.
Every challenge, every twist and turn, even the things you don’t understand right now, will help you grow and, one day, help others grow too. Trust that everything coming your way is shaping you into the best version of yourself.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to the belief that mental health matters. Taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s a requirement if you want to truly love yourself and live a life that isn’t defined by constant misery. That’s at the heart of what Raising Serotonin stands for: helping people prioritize their mental, emotional, and physical well-being so they can show up as their best selves, no matter how long it takes.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I do give everything my best. I learned at a very young age that no one needs to praise you for you to feel proud. That sense of pride comes from within, it’s on us to recognize when we’re doing our best, even if it doesn’t always feel like it. Sometimes we may be better than others, sometimes not, but at the end of the day, the only person we need to do it for is ourselves.
