Hi Sarah , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
To make alot of content , and to be on tv everyday.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Im Sarah J Preston, I am the ceo of kingship hip hop , and the editor in chief of the magazine, I am also the executive artist at hifi art express franchise.
Each of these brands are special to culture because of the original story lines, vibrant colors and raw talent they both bring to the table in entertainment.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I went to Utah on my own, with no money and just my son. I was listening to my cd from rapper TIP…”Live Your Life”
My powerful moment was when i said to my driver “The universe gives us what we think of” and literally, I bumped right into into the rapper TIP at the airport 5 mins later. He signed my cd.
I knew the universe sent me a strong message at the time. That no matter how far i go, im not alone. And the more independant & confident in myself i am, the more im supported as a leader. Leading as a woman in art & Hip Hop & It is my calling. I have a line to the stars.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
There were too many times I had to fail in front of my enemies, to hide my blessings. I learned to not reveal soo much about myself. To keep an army around me. I learned to keep a representative, because my energy is soo strong.
