Story & Lesson Highlights with Wakkirea Levatte

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Wakkirea Levatte. Check out our conversation below.

Wakkirea, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
“Something I was once afraid of was sharing different sides of myself outside of just my art. For years, I went back and forth on whether I should create separate pages or only post about my artwork. But lately, I’ve been leaning into my role as a content creator and allowing myself to share more of what I love — from art to fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and beyond. I realized that all of these parts are still me, and I don’t have to hide or split myself up to fit into one box.

I also know that companies want to see more than just one side of a model or artist — they look for creativity, personality, and how you live your life. They want to see that you’re social, that you attend events, that you’re multidimensional. By sharing more of myself, I’m not only growing creatively, but I’m also building a brand that reflects my full spectrum as a person and creator.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Wakkirea — a painter, model, and content creator. I love bringing my creativity to life through art, fashion, and lifestyle. My brand is all about self-expression, confidence, and showing the many sides of who I am — from painting bold pieces to sharing beauty tips, modeling, and everyday moments that inspire me. I’m passionate about blending artistry with real life, and I use my platforms to connect, create, and inspire

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
A part of me that has served its purpose and must now be released is the fear of holding back different sides of myself. For a long time, I felt I had to stay in one lane — just art, just modeling, just one version of me. But that mindset no longer serves me. I’m releasing the doubt and hesitation and embracing the freedom to be fully myself — an artist, a model, a creator, and a woman with many layers.

And I’ve already seen how rewarding this change can be — new opportunities are opening up as I expand and share more of who I truly am.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
One of the wounds I’ve been healing is getting over the feeling of doing things alone or not having support during moments that were important to me. I’ve learned that if it’s something I really want, sometimes I have to trust God and move forward even if I have to do it by myself. This journey is mine, and even if others don’t see the vision yet, I know it was given to me for a reason — and that’s enough to keep going.
I’ve healed from this by realizing that at the end of the day, I’m doing it for myself — and I truly love what I’m doing.
Achieving my goals, clapping for myself, and loving the journey I’m on. Even if no one else sees the vision, I know it’s mine — and that’s worth celebrating.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies my industry tells itself is that you have to fit into one box to be successful — that you must specialize in only one thing, present a curated “perfect” life, or only show certain sides of yourself. The truth is that creativity and authenticity thrive when you embrace your full spectrum. The industry often underestimates the power of versatility, individuality, and vulnerability — and sticking to just one niche or approach can lead to burnout. Embracing all your talents and passions is what truly makes you stand out.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Yes, I am doing what I was born to do — following my passions, doing what makes me happy, moving at my own pace, and defining my own definition of success. I trust my journey and embrace the path that’s truly mine.
