SYLENT EGO’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to SYLENT EGO. Check out our conversation below.

Hi SYLENT, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
Yes, I stood for my ex and it cost me my heart

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m SYLENTEGO—Silent Ego—but you can call me SY, Ego, or whatever lol. I’m an artist from Rhode Island, and I create music and experiences that stand out. My brand is me, really—it’s about being unapologetically myself and bringing that energy into everything I touch. When I make music, it’s more than just sound—it’s about inspiring people, feeding their soul, and guiding them through the frequency. It’s nurturing, uplifting, and personal. Silent Ego is what it is—raw, honest, and meant to connect with people in a real way.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I realized people really felt something from my energy without me having to say much. I’ve always had this quiet influence—like I could just walk into a room, stay to myself, and still shift the vibe. I didn’t understand it at the time, but looking back, that was the first moment I recognized my power. It wasn’t loud, it wasn’t forced… it was just me being me. That silent presence—that’s where SYLENTEGO was born before I even had a name for it.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. Especially when I was first starting out and trying to understand how to create music from the ground up—going from a producer to an artist. It’s been a journey, and there were moments where even hoping I’d have an audience to listen felt like a fight with my own mind. But no matter what, I always held onto the idea that you gotta see it through. Something is always bound to happen if you keep moving, even when it feels slow. That belief kept me going.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
Excuse my French, but through this shit, you truly have to love yourself. There’s people that will agree with this, but there’s very few that will act on it. It’s not something that’s easy. It can be confusing and up and down like a roller coaster, but truly loving yourself through any and everything taps into a power and knew that nobody can take you’re absolutely unstoppable loving yourself.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I feel like most people will misunderstand the process. To some people or many it actually may look like it was all easy looking from the outside in because they weren’t there to be inside of the journey behind the scenes.
