Good morning Tara, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Honestly, I’m most proud of the energy I built behind my brand “That Libra Chic” — the part nobody really sees. Everyone sees the memes and the pretty posts, but behind it all is so much intention, balance, and Libra magic. I started it from nothing and just followed my intuition and somehow it grew into this whole community that feels like home for Libras.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tara Deal, and I’m a professional designer, digital marketer, and published author — but most people online know me as That Libra Chic. I’m the creator behind the funny and inspiring astrology-meets-pop-culture lifestyle brand @thatlibrachic. What started as a fun little Libra meme account has grown into a vibrant community of over 100k followers across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok — all celebrating Libra energy, humor, pop culture, lifestyle, and self-expression.
I mix astrology with real-life relatability — think cosmic truths with a side of humor and sass. My goal has always been to create a space where Libras feel seen, inspired, and connected, whether it’s through funny memes, quotes, or that “wow, that’s so me” moment.
Over time, the brand has evolved into more than just content — it’s a whole vibe and movement that highlights the fun, beauty, creativity, and balance Libras bring to the world. I’ve even written books for Libras, including Libras in Love: A Dating Guide for Libras, which is featured on Amazon, Lulu, and other online book platforms. Right now, I’m expanding into new projects that build on that same energy — from lifestyle products to creative collaborations — all centered around celebrating who we are and shining a little brighter, Libra style.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Honestly, I was always my own person — a bit of a rebel, a dreamer, and definitely a free thinker. Even before I knew what branding or content creation was, I was creating my own little world through art, design, and storytelling. I never really fit into boxes or followed the “expected” path — I just followed what felt authentic and fun to me.
Looking back, that’s exactly the energy that became That Libra Chic — that mix of creativity, independence, and not being afraid to do things my own way.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yeah, there was a time I almost gave up. I was hacked, harassed, and cyber stalked by a group of haters in my hometown because of my success online, and it completely shattered my trust in people. It was invasive, terrifying, and honestly a really dark time — I disappeared and went offline for more than a year because my world just didn’t feel safe anymore. But instead of walking away for good, I decided to fight back and rebuild. I protected my energy, my brand, and came back stronger than ever. That experience showed me just how brave and truly resilient I am.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends would probably say I’m all about authenticity, good vibes, personal and professional growth. I love inspiring others while also helping them see who they really are and what they’re capable of, and finding the life lessons in everything — the good and the bad. And being a Libra, truth and justice definitely matter to me. I’ll always stand up for what feels right and try to bring balance wherever I can.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I think I understand energy and manifestation on a really deep level. The vibes you put out — your thoughts, emotions, and intentions — are constantly shaping your reality. I’ve seen it firsthand. I believe in timeline jumping, trusting alignment, and knowing that what’s meant for you can shift depending on the energy you’re operating from. I’ve learned it’s really about the frequency you move in — that’s what brings everything you desire for yourself full circle.
