We recently had the chance to connect with Taylor Paffett and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My son! He is currently 15 months old and he is so much fun! I am so blessed that I am able to have him home with me as my mom (best grandmom ever) takes care of him so in between my crazy days, I get to spend time with him and it is the best.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Taylor Paffett! I’m a Florida girl who started my career in pharmaceutical and medical sales, but the real turning point came when I had my own destination wedding. I completely fell in love with everything about it. The excitement, the joy, and the fun of bringing everyone together in one beautiful place.
Now, I get to live that dream every day, helping couples not only book their wedding but also create an unforgettable vacation with their closest family and friends. Traveling is amazing (and yes, I love it!), but that’s not why I started this business. My real passion is weddings, the happy tears, the dance floors, the memories you’ll never forget.
I’m lucky to have the best team by my side. Calli Woodell, my right-hand agent, knows weddings inside and out (and had her own destination wedding, too!). Morgan Dake, our social media and business operations pro, keeps our presence growing so we can keep inspiring more couples. Allison Malenfant takes care of honeymoons and vacations, making sure the celebration doesn’t stop after “I do.” And our amazing assistants work hard every single day to make sure our couples and their guests feel completely taken care of.
We’re not a corporate sounding team, we’re fun, approachable, and treat every couple like they’re close friends. We adore our brides and grooms, and we’re all about making this whole experience just as memorable as the big day itself.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I always loved to work from a young age. I was buying playing basketball but always made sure to find time for a part time job in high school!
But when it comes to business, James Berglie with Be All Inclusive really showed me the ropes and I am so thankful for everything he taught me! I took all of his advice and ran with it and made it my own within Vibe Thrive Travel!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
In 2008, when the market crashed, I was 17 years old. We lost almost everything during that time. And even though it was terrible for my family to go through that, it truly made me into the hard worker I am today!! I never expected handouts and always worked hard for everything I had. It taught me discipline and it was something that truly shaped me.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My family, my friends, my business, day drinking 😉 and the gym haha!
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Honestly, absolutely. I actually am not someone who likes praise or attention when it comes to my success. I am beyond blessed with the success of my business but I feel very awkward when it is talked about around others haha! I will always do my absolute best and put in my all for my couples and guests without requiring any praise!
