I persist despite the haters and nay-sayers because my love for creating and performing is vital to my existence. I live by this quote I learned while training at Stella Adler School of performing arts, “Growth as an actor and as a human being are synonymous”. The older I get, the more I realize that haters are just people who don’t love themselves and their insecurities are projected on the whole world. There is a saying that states that if there isn’t anyone hating on you, you really aren’t doing that much. The truth of life is, there will ‘always’ be at least one person that will have an opinion about what you are doing. When I was working for Clear Channel Radio, which is now called iHeart radio, I was pretty sensitive at that time.
