Let’s jump in: What do you think is misunderstood about your business? 
Despite the growing popularity of CBD, a significant misconception persists that it is the same as marijuana or THC. In Colorado, where cannabis knowledge is relatively widespread, 40-50% of people we speak to still confuse CBD with THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana that causes a high. Nationwide, this misunderstanding is even more prevalent, with many assuming CBD products are intoxicating. Leanna Organics, for example, focuses exclusively on non-intoxicating hemp-derived CBD products, which contain negligible THC (0.3% or less) and offer therapeutic benefits without altering mental state. This confusion highlights the need for better education about the differences between CBD and THC to dispel myths and promote informed use.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Leanna Organics makes hemp-derived, non-intoxicating remedies for pain, anxiety, sleep, and inflammation for humans and pets. We make our own products at our shop in Westminster CO, and only use organic, non-toxic ingredients. We put love into making our products and have been recognized by the City of Westminster, as well as the state of Colorado for our sustainability efforts.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Tracy’s mother stands as the unyielding matriarch of their family, a woman whose strength and sensitivity have profoundly shaped Tracy’s character and worldview. Despite carrying her own traumas and personal struggles, she poured unconditional love into Tracy and her siblings, creating a foundation of warmth and security that defined their upbringing. Her resilience shone through in her ability to hold the family together through challenges, her fierce determination a guiding force, yet her sensitivity revealed itself in quiet moments—through tender gestures, empathetic listening, and an intuitive understanding of her children’s needs. This duality of fortitude and vulnerability taught Tracy the power of balancing courage with compassion, leaving an indelible mark on her sense of self and her approach to life.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
In 2020, Scott and Tracy poured their hearts and savings into opening Leanna Organics’ first storefront, a dream built on passion for natural wellness. Just two months after the grand opening, COVID-19 struck, forcing a six-week closure that tested their resolve. Undeterred, they never considered giving up, pivoting swiftly to bolster their online presence and find new ways to connect with customers. This relentless determination transformed adversity into opportunity, strengthening their resilience and deepening their conviction that Leanna Organics was destined for success, no matter the challenges ahead.
