We’re looking forward to introducing you to Victoria Tara. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity, without question.
Because without being true to oneself – to one’s heart, values, and higher calling – everything else eventually loses meaning. Intelligence can shine and energy can move mountains, but without integrity, they drift without depth or direction. For me, integrity is what gives purpose to creativity – it is the quiet inner alignment that keeps everything genuine, inspired, and real.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Victoria Tara, a contemporary visual artist based in Miami. My work explores the interplay of light, stillness, and the present moment, with each painting reflecting inner balance, harmony, and renewal.
Through bold, fluid compositions, I explore inner experiences of silence, joy and vitality, inviting the viewer to reconnect with their own sense of peace and light.
In addition to my studio work, I create commissioned pieces for private collectors and interior spaces – artworks designed to enhance both the energy and aesthetics of their surroundings.
I’m also developing projects that combine art with creative mentorship, guiding others to rediscover inspiration and purpose through meditation, art, and the creative process.
For me, art is not merely to be seen – it is an experience that moves, awakens, and draws us closer to what truly matters.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful comes from my teenage years, during summer holidays by the sea.
Growing up in a big city, I spent most of the year far from the coast. But each summer, I would visit my grandmother, who lived near the ocean. The moment I saw the water again, I was filled with a deep sense of love, awe, and connection.
Standing by the water—watching the waves, breathing in the salty air – I felt a quiet reverence and a natural surrender to the vastness of the ocean. In those moments, I felt one with it, as though I were a child of that greatness – held, protected, and deeply cared for.
In that stillness, I discovered the profound power of being fully present. The sense of inner peace and strength I felt then has stayed with me ever since.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me a depth of humility and surrender that success never could.
It revealed the fragility and preciousness of life, how easily we take things for granted, and the importance of staying anchored in our inner values.
Success may bring recognition and achievement, but it rarely cultivates the humility, patience, and quiet strength that arise from moving through challenges with grace.
Suffering opened my eyes to what truly matters – presence, integrity, inner peace, and the capacity to offer forgiveness even in the most difficult moments.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
The important truth that not many people agree with me on is the value of slowing down and cultivating inner peace.
In a world that constantly urges us to act, perform, and look outside ourselves for guidance, I’ve learned that the most meaningful insights, clarity, and alignment arise from within. When we pause, listen, and trust our intuition, we reconnect with an inner sense of direction and make choices that genuinely feel right, rather than reacting to external pressures or expectations.
For me, slowing down is not about inactivity – it is about quieting the restless mind, creating space to hear clearly, and allowing the inner voice to lead.
Many people underestimate how transformative this can be. They chase validation, answers, or quick solutions, not realizing that true growth, creativity, and fulfillment are born from the stillness, patience, and awareness we cultivate within ourselves.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
My greatest sense of peace arises through creating – whether I’m painting, writing about my work, spending time in nature, or sharing space with someone I love. Painting, in particular, illuminates my heart and fills my mind with a quiet, steady gratitude.
I also find profound calm in meditation, long walks by the ocean, slow mornings, cooking, or simply watching a sunset unfold. Nature – especially water – has a way of softening everything. The ocean, a still lake, or even the sky mirrored in a quiet bay can gently slow the rhythm of the day, helping me breathe, reflect, and return to myself.
In those moments of stillness, observing and simply being, I feel present, centered, and deeply alive.
