As a leader in the Wellness Industry, it is imperative that I take care of my own mental and physical health. If I am burnt out or emotionally depleted, I am less effective and less caring toward my Personal Yoga Therapeutics Clients and toward the members of my Yoga Studio community. Read more>>

My self-care rituals are regular and very self-discliplined, which I feel keep me very effective. 1) I run for 30 min’s, lift weights for 10, and on a great day (fri.thru sun. and vacations) swim for 15 min’s or 24 laps. this keeps me on the beam and relaxed and centered. many days i break up my workouts into cycles of 10 mins each if i don’t have much time during a busy work day. It was during and in the after-math of the pandemic that I started implementing some self-care habits that really helped me at the time. I found it so helpful to carve out a bit of time every morning for these practices that I just kept going! Now I feel the difference if I don’t make time for this! The first thing I like to start the day with is some quiet prayer time followed by breakfast and watching something inspiring – usually a podcast interview on Youtube!  Read more>>

My self-care routine involves ensuring all my systems are well-maintained, similar to pampering myself with full-body spa days, manicures, pedicures, and beauty facials. This upkeep significantly impacts my effectiveness, allowing me to perform optimally and provide top-notch assistance. Read more>>

As I reflect back on the past couple years of my life and how I can say I am currently living the life of my dreams it all really stems from self-love. I’ve learned through becoming a mindset and spiritual life coach that healing truly happens from doing inner work. Self-care is a form of self-love. We’ve all heard that saying…”Put your own oxygen mask on first” or “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Well, these sayings are true. I have found that when I am at my best I can then best help serve others. Read more>>

In my self-care routine, I prioritize personal time for reflection, meditation, and researching ways to enhance my food business. Pampering sessions like facials, nail care, and hair treatments are also part of this regimen. This intentional self-investment has positively impacted my life, fostering increased happiness, confidence, motivation, and ultimately, improving my role as a mother to my beautiful daughters.  Read more>>

About ten years ago, I was standing in the emergency department talking to a family about the importance of good nutrition, getting exercise, and optimizing sleep, and here I was talking the talk but not walking the walk. Self-care? Back then, I am not sure I could have even answered this question. I was a burned out pediatrician, navigating the recent loss of my dad to cancer. It was in that moment when I decided something needed to change. Read more>>

This is a great question – and has been a big goal for this past year. Creating boundaries. I’ve said “no” a lot more times than I’ve said “yes.” It has taken several years to get to this point, but I’m now aware of my value and interested in projects that are truly worthy of my time. The boundaries have mostly come down to scheduling…or rather, not over-scheduling my calendar. The past few years, I wouldn’t have a day off from July until November. Read more>>

There are tons of things I’ve had to incorporate into my life to prioritize self-care. This job / industry can be quite lonely at times. I’m thankful to have a few trusted individuals that not only work in a similar role in the music industry, but are also quality folks that I can call and vent to, share stories with, and offer support to each other. I’m very into taking care of my skin and working out. Due to the nature of my work as a Lifestyle TV Host, it is imperative I make time to care for my mental, emotional and physical health. I absolutely love light weight lifting and walking my two boxer dogs. Being outside brings me peace and helps me clear my mind. I’m constantly trying to think of fun new content concepts for my job, and being outside with my dogs has really allowed me to tap into content creation concepts. Read more>>

Self-care for me looks like reading a good book curled up in a comfy space. It allows me to detach from the “real world” and give my brain a break from the decisions and pressure through a healthy medium. It’s important to not always feel the weight of the world on your shoulders and be able to take a step back, and what better way than to enter a world written by someone else? Read more>>

Personally, I take a lot of pride in my self-care in order to show up to the best of my ability. Going to the gym and eating healthy allow me to feel great from the inside-out. In order to show up as my highest self and be truly effective in my day to day life, I need to prioritize my health and fitness. Making sure I take breaks is a must as well.  Read more>>

Self-care is an essential part of my daily routine. I believe that taking care of myself first allows me to be more productive, focused, and creative throughout the day. Here are some of the habits and practices that I follow for self-care: – I start my day the night before. I prepare everything I need for the next morning, such as water, towels, toothbrushes, and coffee mugs. This saves me time and energy in the morning and helps me avoid stress and distractions.  Read more>>

My self-care circles around four things: skin care, fitness, brain breaks, and naps. I can be feeling the crummiest I’ve ever felt or I have no motivation and have to drag myself out of bed, yet… nearly every time after I do my skincare routine or I go walk my dog or attend a Pilates class, I always walk away feeling better. It might not have fixed my day or my problem at hand, but it lets me remember what’s important: Me. My health. If I can go through my multi-step routine or last a 50 minute class, there’s so much more I can do. Read more>>

To stay productive and keep my effectiveness on a high level, I practice Ashtanga yoga for the last several years. Self-care also includes walking every day (at least 30 minutes) and taking breaks from work to sit down and eat proper breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunch and dinner are always a 3-courses affair. I cook everything from scratch and always have salad/soup, main course, and a high-end dessert. Read more>>

As a therapist who runs a group practice and also juggles being a spouse and parent, my self-care game is pretty comprehensive. It’s all about mixing professional know-how with personal growth and family time. This approach really boosts how effective I am in pretty much everything I do. Keeping a clear line between work and personal life is key, especially with a job that can be as emotionally heavy as mine. Read more>>
