Building a more compassionate and generous world requires a focus on fostering generosity. Part of that is asking generous folks to open up about where they think their generosity comes from.

My generosity was instilled in me by family members. My brother for a period of his life was a Trappist monk. He was always generous when it came to dealing with poor people. I think we both learned this from our parents who worked in the garment industry and post office. We were taught to share and think about people who had less. Read More>>

I don’t know necessarily where my generosity comes from. I just know that I have always been told, even from a young age, that I’ve been very generous. Truthfully, if I could consistently give people things on a regular basis I would be super happy. And I wouldn’t need to get anything back as far as currency is concerned. I think for me the currency is literally seeing people value what I give them and appreciate it. That’s literally what fills my cup. Giving to people is my way of showing them that I care. Being generous has definitely always been something I have had instilled in me . My mother would give the shirt off her back and seeing that while growing up has allowed me to want to be just as kind . God has done some pretty amazing things in my life and without him I can’t accomplish anything. If I’m able to help someone or give someone something it means I have the ability to and as long as I have the ability to help them I will keep doing so. I think generosity has been a part of my life from the very beginning. I grew up in a small town where my parents were deeply involved in community leadership, and giving back was just part of how we lived. I didn’t always enjoy it as a kid, but over time I realized how meaningful it is to help others and take care of your community. Today, through the brand I’ve built, I get to give back in ways that feel meaningful to me. I’ve been able to support causes like Variety KC, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and most recently, flood relief efforts in Kerr County, Texas. Attending events or contributing in small ways reminds me that generosity is about connection and joy. What once felt like an obligation has become something I get to choose and share with others every day. Read More>>

When people see where I am today — a successful real estate agent and team leader in Kansas City — it’s easy to assume it’s always been this way. What most don’t see are the struggles, setbacks, and sacrifices that shaped me along the way. Read More>>

Growing up, I saw firsthand what happens when animals don’t receive proper care, and it left a lasting impact on me. I never want an animal to suffer simply because of financial hardship. Over the years, I’ve taken in many animals from my community and personally covered veterinary expenses so they wouldn’t be left untreated or put down. For me, ensuring animals get the care they deserve is both a responsibility and a passion. Read More>>
