Meet Dr. K.C. Fox

We recently connected with Dr. K.C. Fox and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. K.C. , so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
Navigating being the only one in the room as a double minority can be challenging.

1. Building a strong support network internally and externally
2. Mastering focusing on my unique strengths
3. I embraced my individuality and used it as a source of strength.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
At the helm of The Vault, a thriving media and crisis communication firm, Our clientele includes a wide spectrum of individuals, from professional NBA and NFL athletes to Civil Rights Attorneys, entertainers, public figures, business owners, and politicians.

My newest venture came as a result of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 Pandemic, I saw it as an opportunity to hunker down and be innovative in a space that I know and love.

As a result, an An-All Female Tech Company was birthed, dedicated to serving industries that I’ve helped shape as an industry professional.

Additionally, I’m actively engaged in my role as a Franchise Owner of The Learning Experience, a recognized player in the early education and childcare franchise space, according to FORBES.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
More principles than skills.

Integrity, service before self, and excellence in all I do.

That’s my rinse and repeat and my heartfelt recommendation.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Female tech experts. Digital marketers and experts in the manufacturing space, as I’m gearing up for my next venture.
