Meet Star Quiñones

We recently connected with Star Quiñones and have shared our conversation below.

Star, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome is one of those things that is an ongoing feeling to overcome- for me at least.

There are a lot of seasoned coaches, there will be coaches with multiple degrees, there will be coaches who have larger audiences.

But there isn’t another coach who has had the experiences you have, That’s what I have to continue leaning into.

Being confident in my experiences as a mom of 3 and knowing what it’s like to not have a fitness influencer body.

I have a regular mom bod. I don’t have an aesthetic garage. I don’t have a carefully crafted Instagram page.

I remind myself that I’m just like all these other moms. My relatability helps overcome my imposter syndrome.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the creator of VESSEL Fit: An online personal training platform geared toward the busy mom!

I help simplify and customize your fitness and nutrition according to your goals and your lifestyle.

There is no team- there is only me. This means that you will be getting a real-life person who is invested in you 100% of the time.

I’m excited to say that I’m at my beta- launch at the moment and taking in commited moms who are ready to get into gear with feeling confident again!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I’ll try and put my answers for these together.

First, be coachable. You cannot be better unless you are able to learn from those around you. I have found out that business and fitness are not a one size fits all. So you have to be willing to learn over and over again. Even when you think you’re good- you can always be better.

Second, be humble The bible tells us that pride goes before destruction. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. The bigger you make yourself out to be, the harder your fall. The worst part? I’ve seen people come down hard on themselves when their plans failed because they built up an image of themselves that was so grandiose.

Lastly, be above reproach. Be above blame. How? By being kind. By loving people. By genuinely wanting to serve those around you. By staying true to your mission statement. Everyone you meet is a testimony to your character. So make sure you move with integrity.

How would you describe your ideal client?

Oooh, I like this question!

My ideal client is a busy mom- I’ll even go as far as to say a busy woman- who is 100 % ready to commit to her health and wellness.

I’m here to help women transform from the inside out. I’m invested in their well-being.

My clients are ready and willing to put in the work, they want accountability, and they have the openness to sometimes be uncomfortable.
