I never set out to be an effective communicator; I simply connected with people in a way that felt natural. While most of my friends and peers were focused on honing technical skills, I was busy building bridges, forging relationships, and driving results, often just through the way I engaged with others. Structured communication and enunciation were not things that came naturally to me. When I first moved to America, communicating in English was an even bigger challenge. I felt it negatively impact me the most when I started college, and had a hard time with interviews. Somehow, I struggled to even give coherent answers to basic questions like “tell me about yourself” and end up stammering, shaky, and generally unconfident. Funny thing about that, the way I feel is in order to communicate to another person in this day and age, Especially ‘Effectively’, is a bit of a challenge. Many people we’re surrounded by are routed on output only and rarely take any input. So I feel the best way too communicate For me at least, is from My music. When I could let everything I have building up out on the track .. it makes it kinda hard for someone to talk back and try to explain to me that they have all the answers.
