Almost everything that’s changed the world in a positive way has been an unreasonable idea. It’s unreasonable, until it’s commons sense. That’s how change happens and so in order to make a difference in the world, it’s incredibly important to be able to ignore the naysayers. It can be challenging to push aside those negative comments. We found when opening our business most people that were saying we couldn’t do it were coming from a place of insecurity that they couldn’t do what we were trying. We were fortunate enough to have a very supportive inner circle. We did our best to amplify all those positive comments so when someone did come around with rude things to say we knew in our hearts that was just one persons opinion. Slow and steady wins the race. When you believe in what you do–I mean REALLY believe in it–there is no voice in your head telling you otherwise, or instilling doubt. Your own voice is your rock. If you trust your own voice, there is no reason to listen to others if their opinions do not resonate with you. If your passion, or path in life, was not meant to be, you would feel it in your gut. I rely on instinct to propel me forward. So far, professionally, my instinct has not been wrong.
