For me, staying creative is a result of staying focused and fully involved in the work. I have been fortunate to take on many very different roles over the years. Each one has called for a different kind of focus and range, and moving between theatre, film, international tours, has been exciting and has challenged me in the best possible way. Read More>>

For a while, I went through several rounds of burnout. I would come up with ideas and start projects but never follow through with them. Creativity is my natural state. My equilibrium. When all else is pushed aside, it’s the force that anchors my inner world to the outer world. I’ve always said that if I could be successful in any career other than the arts I would snap to it in a second (because why the ff would anyone choose to be an artist). Read More>>

For a long time, I didn’t keep my creativity alive. Four years ago, I moved into a new apartment and found boxes and boxes of old, unfinished creative projects. Art portfolios I hadn’t added to since college, instruments I hadn’t played since high school, abandoned book ideas, half-sewn clothing, unopened art supplies that had now dried up. Read More>>

Nowadays, I am often disappointed by my lack of artistic productivity. I look back on what I’ve made with a duality of fondness and jealousy. What was it about those times that produced those pieces that I hold so dear? I’ve found that it was the circumstances, the people, the emotions. But things have changed. Read More>>

Discipline—not just inspiration—is what keeps creativity alive. I’ve always liked the quote, “Do things you are not comfortable with.” As an artist, I believe that creativity is only one part of the process—the bigger part is discipline. The creative process requires showing up consistently, producing a large body of work, and pushing boundaries to keep your artistic vision evolving. Read More>>

Keeping creativity alive comes from rest and openness for me. I’m willing to take a pause, to listen, envision and indulge in visions I see. I find my mind at its most creative when I’m sleeping, I’m naturally a dreamer; which makes getting enough rest and feeling rested crucial to my creative process. Read More>>

For me, creativity is a living energy, it needs care, curiosity, and courage to stay alive. When I paint, I let emotion guide my hands more than rules or technique. Each canvas becomes a reflection of what I’m feeling in the moment, whether it’s peace, passion, or pain. When inspiration fades, I don’t force it. I step back and live. Read More>>

I believe creativity never truly dies, only our ability to see it in ourselves does. I believe it is our job in the creative community to uplift others and encourage their gifts and talents, and by doing so, we can keep each other afloat when the doubts start to kick in. Like so many creatives, I experience imposter syndrome from time to time. Read More>>

I keep my creativity alive by constantly staying in motion — whether I’m modeling, shooting content, or helping bring someone else’s vision to life. Every project I touch feeds the next one.
