Hi Alfred , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resiliency is an attribute that is learned from the environment that fosters a person. My parents were instrumental in my development of my resiliency and grit. My retired military father provided me with structure and determination. My mom was an entrepreneur who built the hair salon, Creative Touch, from its infancy. Watching them perfect their respective crafts taught me that trials and tribulations will come, but it’s my resiliency that will see me though.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am the owner of Label Me Exclusive–“where style meets design”. My company was birthed in the midst of the pandemic when my friends, neighbors, and colleagues wanted smaller, intimate gatherings that they could celebrate in the comfort of their own homes. This included everything from drive-by baby showers to birthday dinners in the dining room. From there, the company expanded into doing social events, weddings, and corporate events. Label Me Exclusive provides an all inclusive decor experience with balloons, florals, table-scapes, and more. We ensure high quality service to every client with our custom packages curated to meet the needs of their event. This year we have launched our wedding series to provide clients with luxury wedding design and decor.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Major events such as weddings and social events are connected to how a person feels. Consistency, professionalism, communication are necessary qualities to ensure that my clients are at ease during the design and implementation of their events
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The partner you choose can either be the key to your success or the stumbling block to you fall on . My wife has been my rock through this entrepreneur journey . She is the glue that keeps it all together , she has been the floral assistant , the balloon blower , the administrative assistant and at times the voice of reason to ensure that everything goes well the day of events .
