Meet Christina Kissick

We recently connected with Christina Kissick and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina , so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

I was raised to see risk as part of the adventure, something that keeps life evolving rather than something to fear. My parents taught me early on that change isn’t disruption, it’s forward movement, and that mindset stayed with me.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m the artist behind The Hair Temple, a space I created for women who want more than a service. It’s an experience rooted in intention, refinement, and trust. I specialize in luxury custom color and extensions, with a focus on creating hair that feels effortless, but is deeply considered.

My approach has always been guided by a willingness to evolve. I see beauty the same way I see growth, as something that requires movement, trust, and a quiet kind of courage. That perspective shapes everything I do, from how I formulate color to how I hold space for my clients during their time with me.

What makes The Hair Temple special is the environment as much as the artistry. It’s calm, private, and elevated, designed for clients to slow down, feel cared for, and leave not just looking different, but feeling aligned with themselves.

Right now, I’m continuing to refine that experience, expanding into more customized treatments that support both the health of the hair and the overall ritual of the appointment. My work is always evolving, but the intention remains the same: to create something personal, lasting, and quietly transformative.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my work most are discernment, refinement, and trust.

Discernment allows me to truly see my clients, not just what they ask for, but what will serve them best. It comes from listening, observing, and being willing to guide with intention.

Refinement is the commitment to continuous evolution. I believe the most elevated results come from small, thoughtful adjustments over time, in both technique and experience.

Trust brings it all together. Trust in my eye, in my process, and in the relationships I build with my clients so they feel confident and cared for.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to focus on depth over speed. Take the time to understand your craft, develop your point of view, and create work that feels intentional. Growth comes from clarity and consistency, not rushing the process.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, I’m always open to thoughtful collaborations that feel aligned with the intention behind The Hair Temple.

I’m drawn to working with individuals and brands who value quality, refinement, and a more elevated approach to beauty and self care. Whether it’s in hair, wellness, photography, or creative direction, I’m most inspired by collaborations that feel intentional and create a meaningful experience for the client.

For me, it’s never about doing more, it’s about doing things well and with purpose. The right collaboration should feel seamless, aligned, and mutually inspiring.

The best way to connect with me is through my website or Instagram, where I share my work and the evolution of what I’m creating.
