We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fabiola Medeiros a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Fabiola, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
It didn’t appear out of nowhere.
It was built on the days I wanted to give up — but didn’t.
In the difficult moments I faced alone, when no one was watching.
My strength was born from real challenges, deep pain, and fears that once felt bigger than me.
Fears that used to paralyze me — until I faced them head-on and realized that many of them never even happened.
With every obstacle, I rebuilt myself.
And today, I don’t just see myself as resilient.
I consider myself antifragile.
Because I didn’t just survive — I grew from the struggle.
I learned that pain teaches, fear reveals, and courage transforms.
And it’s from that mix that my strength is made.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a nutritionist by training and truly passionate about turning food into a light, delicious, and thoughtful experience. I lead Nutri Go Fit, a company born from the desire to combine health, flavor, and practicality — all in one plate.
I split my time between the nutrition office and the kitchen. In the office, I support patients who are looking for balance, well-being, and a healthier relationship with food. In the kitchen, I’m in charge of preparing Nutri Go Fit’s meals: dishes designed for those going through a dietary journey and also for anyone who simply enjoys fresh, homemade food made with care.
All of our meals are delivered fresh and ready to eat — the client can freeze them as needed and always have a tasty, nutritious option on hand.
I serve not only my nutrition patients, but anyone who values eating with quality, convenience, and great flavor. Because eating well doesn’t have to be complicated — and that’s exactly what Nutri Go Fit delivers every single day.
We also offer a detox juice kit, where clients can lose up to 2 kg in just 2 days.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
If I could give you one piece of advice today, it would be this: believe in your dream — even if it still feels far away.
It took me a long time to put mine into action.
I had ideas, passion, love for what I did… but something was holding me back.
The fear of being judged, of failing, of not being “good enough” made me postpone everything — waiting for the perfect moment that never really came.
Until one day, I decided to truly listen to what a few close friends had been telling me for years:
“You have to do something with food — it’s your gift.”
And then I realized: maybe what I was missing wasn’t time or resources… it was believing in myself.
That’s when everything changed.
I combined my degree in nutrition with my passion for cooking, and created a project that’s real, full of purpose, flavor, and heart.
Today, I look back with pride for not giving up before even trying.
So if you’re sitting on a dream, holding it close but not taking action — let me tell you from experience:
Go for it, even if you’re scared. Just go.
Your gift deserves to come to life.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
The most important person who helped me overcome my fears and move forward?
Without a doubt, my two daughters come first.
Everything I do is for them.
Not just in a financial sense, but to be an example — of strength, of purpose, of not giving up when things get hard.
I had that kind of example in my life… and now I want to be that example for them.
And finally, the little girl I once was.
I owe this to her.
I know how much she dreamed, how much she suffered, how hard she fought in silence just to someday become someone.
Today, everything I do is also for her.
To honor the dreams she never gave up on.
