Kayshla, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose in the cosmetology and hairdressing industry has been a lifelong journey that began when I was only eight years old. Learning how to get your nails done and comb your hair ignited a spark of creativity and passion inside that has only grown over the years. This early interest in beauty led me to dream of possibilities that I never imagined when I was a child.

My passion has taken me to incredible heights, including the aspiration to open my own hairdresser, represent a brand in 2022 and become a hair educator. These objectives reflected a commitment not only to perfect my craft, but also to share my knowledge with others.

Today, I have achieved remarkable milestones, including working as a head hairdresser at prestigious events such as New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and others. My trip is a testimony of the power to follow one’s passion and creativity, showing that with dedication and hard work, dreams can come true. I would like to continue inspiring others in the industry, demonstrating that a lifelong passion can lead to extraordinary opportunities

I’m Kayshla Mojica, the CEO of Glamorous Beauty Salon and a dedicated hair educator and hair extension specialist.

My journey in the beauty industry has been a fulfilling one, driven by my passion for helping clients express themselves through their hair. At Glamorous Beauty Salon, we pride ourselves on being a multicultural hair salon that caters to diverse hair types and styles, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and beautiful.

What I find most exciting about my work is the opportunity to customize a unique experience for each individual customer and connect with the opportunity to create the best experience in each visit and educate aspiring stylists. I believe that hair is not just a physical feature but a powerful form of self-expression. By sharing my expertise in hair extensions and styling techniques, I empower others to embrace their unique beauty and creativity.

Our salon offers a wide range of services, from hair styling and coloring to specialized hair extension applications. We prioritize quality and personalization, using only the best products to ensure our clients receive exceptional results. Our team is passionate about staying ahead of trends and continuously improving our skills to provide top-notch service.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are adaptability, communication, and a strong work ethic.

1. **Adaptability**: The beauty industry is constantly changing, with new trends, techniques, and technologies emerging regularly. Being adaptable has allowed me to embrace change and stay relevant. It’s essential to be open to learning and evolving as the industry evolves.

2. **Communication**: Effective communication has been crucial in building relationships with clients and team members. Understanding clients’ needs, providing clear instructions, and fostering a positive environment all stem from good communication skills. It helps create trust and ensures that everyone is on the same page.

3. **Strong Work Ethic**: Success in any field requires dedication and hard work. How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

Creating a strong team is indeed a particular challenge I am currently facing. As my business grows, building a cohesive and motivated team is essential for maintaining the quality of service and delivering an exceptional experience to our clients.

Building a strong team takes time and effort, but I believe that by investing in my team and nurturing a positive culture, we can create an environment that benefits both our staff and clients.
