Musik, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

We are made up of hard working individuals in regular life. We juggle multiple jobs and businesses and the pressure that goes with that. In this way, we’re under the process of getting things completed. Since we understand how to get things done, we understand that the pressures of creating something come with the territory.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Lokey The Movement LLC is a performance platform that started in 2021 in the midst of a pandemic in Houston, TX. Regina Phillips A.K.A “Musik Da Muse” and Taliah Hollier A.K.A “Chio The Key”, had a passion for truth and proper platforms and opportunities for creatives. Thus the saying, “This is where passion meets profit.”

The vision is to create real opportunity and guidance with talent. Later came along two of the most influential and dedicated parts of our team, Nathaniel Hunter, A.K.A “O.C.T Word” and Byron Scott A.K.A “C.B.O.M Ray”. Then our team was completed.

Together we produce events, host, perform, promote, develop, and commercialize talent. It will be 5 years for our platform August 2026, and we have managed to travel abroad, win 2 awards from Broadcast Houston for best curator, and a certificate presented by Media Eyecon signed by the state of Texas. We have brought celebrity guest to the platform such as Ken The Man, Big Yavo and many more to come!

This has also led to giving back to the community through varies toy drives, mentorship, and school drives. We remain the fastest growing platform in Houston, Texas and we stand strong behind talent and hardwork.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Be Intentional.

Just because you love to do something doesn’t means you don’t need a plan. It is essential to do all the research you can on your dream and make realistic goals to make the dream a reality!

Teamwork.

No one can do it alone. Make sure you recognize the value in those that support your journey and work with you.
Make decisions that benefit everyone involved and move as a unit.

Save your money.

If you are like us and aren’t millionaires, you will likely work harder and devote most of your money to your dream before you start to see a return in the beginning. Split the burden with your team.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

We are always up for a great collaboration! We shop venues all across to bring our platform to. We also work with businesses who need help with street team and promotion. We also welcome investors, long and short term that want stake in the buisness growth. Other platforms that have talent can also benefit from our services.
