We recently connected with Prisha Sasikumar and have shared our conversation below.
Prisha, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I find my purpose in passion- it’s a controversial idea, but finding something you’re truly passionate about means you’ll also do anything to make that passion profitable and purposeful.
For me, I wavered between creative projects like YouTube, selling digital templates, etc. before I finally found purpose in my lifelong passion- dance, and made DanceVibes a reality.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the founder of DanceVibes, a dancer-built technology brand creating organization and productivity apps specifically for dancers and dance studios. As a competitive dancer, I experienced firsthand how fragmented and stressful it can be to manage choreography, rehearsal schedules, performance notes, videos, and last-minute changes using tools that weren’t designed for dancers. DanceVibes was created to solve that problem.
What makes DanceVibes unique is that it’s built by a dancer, for dancers. Every feature is designed around real dancer problems, helping dancers stay organized, confident, and mentally focused. Instead of adding more noise, our products reduce overwhelm and bring structure to an otherwise chaotic training process. This dancer-first approach is what truly sets the brand apart in the dancetech space.
Professionally, I’m focused on growing DanceVibes as a leading dancetech startup. We’re currently expanding our beta app (danZING) for dance studios, collecting real user feedback from independent dancers and studios, and forming partnerships with dance conventions and studios- most notably, Power Intensives by Michelle Leagans and Dadamo Dance Convention by Christina Dadamo. danZING’s app launch this Summer 2026 builds on our mission to support dancer development both on and off the stage.
Beyond apps, DanceVibes is evolving into a broader platform that includes inspirational content and community-driven resources for young dancers. The goal is to empower dancers with tools that help them train smarter, manage their time better, and take ownership of their growth—while proving that dancers can also be founders, innovators, and leaders in tech.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three lessons that were most impactful for me to learn-
Work ethic is critical in dance AND entrepreneurship- you have to be willing to put in the late nights in front of a computer and extra hours at the studio. For me, music was a big part in enforcing this. Whenever I’m choreographing or rehearsing on my own in the studio, I have pop and rap music in the background (it works!) and whenever I’m working on a feature or campaign I have pop music to keep me awake. My coffee addiction also helps! Essentially, finding ways to keep yourself consistent with working hard is so important- and knowing that working 5-9, 9-5 is not a forever lifestyle, it’s just for now.
You don’t know everything, so always keep learning- I’ve missed big on past DanceVibes projects because I thought I understood pricing, UI/UX, and marketing, but really, I didn’t. Always keep learning- a big habit for me has been picking one topic of interest every week (dance, business, marketing, finance, etc.) and listening to podcasts, browsing articles, asking AI, all related to that ONE topic for a whole week. Whenever I’m driving, walking, sitting down, I’m always learning or listening to a podcast! Podcast recs: Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett, Lenny’s Podcast, Tiger Sisters by Jean and Cherie
You have to be willing to get your hands dirty- delegation is important, but so is knowing when it’s better to step up rather than watch on the sidelines until you’re forced to help. Always be open to knowing when and where you’re needed- whether it’s for firefighting, bringing a project to completion, etc.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
DanceVibes is actively looking to collaborate with dancers, artists, technologists, and builders who believe the arts deserve the same level of innovation, respect, and infrastructure as industries like finance, biotech, or medicine.
Right now, the DanceVibes team is lean: myself, our product team, and a small group of Instagram brand ambassadors. But as we grow in the dance tech space, my goal isn’t to build a traditional “A Team.” I want to build a Z Team—people who are willing to go all in to push technology forward in the arts and prove that creative industries can be just as powerful, scalable, and impactful.
