Renae “NaeNaeVizion” , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

In the heart of the storm, where the thunder speaks
And the sky splits open with jagged streaks,
I cradle a fire, small yet fierce,
A flicker of warmth that the cold cannot pierce.

Negativity whispers, dark and sly,
It tries to smother the light, to dim the sky,
But this flame, my flame, it refuses to bow,
It’s fed by dreams that will not allow.

Through torrents of doubt, I keep it bright,
Feeding it love, and the joy of flight,
Creativity’s spark, a beacon within,
Guiding me forward when the world seems dim.

No gale can quench this fire I tend,
For it’s lit by the strength that storms can’t bend,
A radiant glow in the darkest night,
My spirit, alive, still burning bright.

So let the storms rage, let the winds roar,
I’ll keep this flame, ever more,
For within me lies an endless sky,
Where creativity soars, and dreams never die.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Renae Sophia Baca, also known as NaeNaeVizion, is a multifaceted artist and creative force. As an actress, fine arts/mosaic artist, muralist, studio owner, and vocalist, I have
built a vibrant world of art, music, and inspiration. For over 25 years, Renae has been an active member of the 420 and LGBTQ+ communities, expressing herself through a spectrum of colors and experiences.

. Renae has owned a recording studio in Hollywood for over a decade, welcoming clients from all walks of life, especially those who are 420-friendly, to share in her creative space.

Renae’s art is as diverse as her passions. She has contributed to numerous murals in North Hollywood, collaborating with friends, community programs, and even the LAPD Hollywood Division. Her mosaic artworks, available for purchase at Piecebypiece.org, are part of her dedication to art as a healing and empowering tool. She also offers free classes to teach others the craft of glass cutting and mosaic art, helping them earn income and find creative fulfillment.

Her future ambitions include becoming a full-time actress, pursuing voiceover work in animation and gaming, and starting a family. NaeNaeVizion has also been a tireless advocate for the homeless, volunteering to help with housing, treatment, and job assistance for those in need.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

wonderfully I had had an impactful journey thanks to my community developing new skills with teachers from around the world in my art class and keeping my motivation maintained regardless of the circumstances and emotional status

Collaborating with other artists can spark fresh ideas and push creative boundaries. Exploring futuristic concepts and stepping out of my comfort zone could lead to some truly innovative and inspiring work. I’m always open to new ideas and meeting exciting colorful people
