Meet Tyler Williams

We recently connected with Tyler Williams and have shared our conversation below.

Tyler, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?

sometimes it’s ok to just step away from whatever you are creating and go about a normal life for some time. If I am not feeling creative, I’ll just start sweeping my house, watch a music documentary, yard work, not making any music until I get inspired by a random thought or memory.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am an event DJ in San Diego, California servicing weddings, backyard parties, and festivals. I also produce my own music that has won awards and accolades and reached radio stations here in southern California.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I have never quit the music business even after many years of money loss and the urge to give up and live a “normal” life.

Having an appreciation for all music regardless of genre, decade, or even language.

Having a knowledge of the business side of the music industry allowed me to start the earning process in this field.

If you’re going to join the music world, be in it for life. If you cant commit at least 10 years minimum to get a momentum then you’re better off choosing another path.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

Getting good paying gigs at respectable venues in my city.
