We recently connected with Madeleine Corliss and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Madeleine, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
Truth be told, daily self-care routines aren’t my jam. My ADHD makes consistency a bit…non existent. Instead, I’ve discovered that brief moments of self care throughout the day have a bigger impact.
Regular body check-ins are my go-to – I used to bulldoze through hunger, fatigue, or overwhelm, but now I make it a point to listen to my body, take action, and get back in the groove.
If I’m feeling overstimulated I normally turn to the 3-min reset from my Soul Squad Library – yup, I use my own stuff #noshame. It’s a game-changer, bringing me back into my body and into focus. On the flip side, if I’m under stimulated and groggy, I mix it up – snack, step outside, or a quick dance party. These bite-sized self-care moments have made a much bigger difference in my life than any time-consuming daily ritual.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hey, I’m Madeleine, a clairvoyant Shamanic Energy Healer and founder of The Energy Studio!
I’m passionate about helping people connect with their intuition, work with their spirit guides, and discover a life of energetic alignment while embracing a modern lifestyle.
In my early 20’s, life threw me some major curveballs that led me to shamanic energy healing. In my first session, my entire back lit up and it felt like coming home and remembering. I instantly knew I needed to begin training and discovering the knowledge I carried from past lives and my ancestors.
Now, I use my extensive knowledge of Irish Shamanic Tradition, wellness practices, and somatic experiencing to heal past life wounds, inherited ancestral trauma, energetic entanglement, inner child wounds, and more. I also help people tune into their ancestral gifts and rediscover their sense of divine sovereignty.
I believe that the combination of these ancient practices and modern wellness knowledge can help us solve many of our modern-day problems. I also believe that everyone can tap into their intuition and connect with their energetic field. I’m here to provide the resources and support you need to start your journey.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Follow your curiosity: Dive into what interests you. My initial curiosity in healing work led me to extensive learning and personal healing. What started as a passion became a profession, helping numerous energy-healing clients and reaching a broader audience through social media content.
2. Throw spaghetti at the wall: See what sticks! Coming from a Musical Theater background, I’ve learned to trust my impulses. Starting The Energy Studio, I tossed a ton of ideas around. Most didn’t stick, but the ones that did brought incredible rewards. Don’t overthink – get your ideas out of your head and into the world. If they don’t work, move onto the next one!
3. Surround yourself with supportive people: Seek honesty with support. It’s not just about praise; it’s about constructive feedback. Surround yourself with those who believe in you, yet aren’t afraid to point out when your website copy makes no sense. Mute the naysayers; keep the cheerleaders who help you grow in your corner.
If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
Working virtually has expanded my reach, enabling me to offer more services to a broader audience. However, many of us (myself included) are craving more in-person connections. It’s a catch-22 because meeting in person is wonderful but, virtual platforms like my Soul Squad membership allow us to make connections around the world. I’ve also found that allowing people to be in their own environment fosters a deeper sense of comfort and openness which often leads to greater personal healing. In the coming year I hope to host more in-person events, however, the present focus is on highlighting the unique benefits of virtual collaboration, emphasizing the depth of healing achievable in our own familiar spaces.
