We’ve been working on our publication and platform for almost a decade because we deeply believe that the world will be a far more empathetic and collaborative place if we all had the ability to know each other’s stories. The past decade has brought unimaginable challenges along the way, but we persevere because we believe this is mission worth never giving up on. We often are inspired by the folks we’ve featured and their commitment to their respective missions and so we asked some of them to talk to us about this very topic and have share some responses below.

I’m committed to the belief that true confidence is built, not given and that it comes from discipline, alignment, and personal responsibility rather than external validation. I believe people rise to the level of the standards they hold for themselves, and lasting transformation only happens when those standards are internalized. Read more>>

I’m committed to drawing for as long as I can. I once heard a saying that really stayed with me: drawing isn’t about who is the most talented, but about who keeps going the longest. This idea has become something I hold onto every time I fail. And it gives me the determination to stand back up and continue. Read more>>

Only 2% of women entrepreneurs ever hit $1M—and I think that’s absolute crap. Not because they aren’t capable. But because the business world has sold them the wrong strategy: hustle harder, do more, be everything. I’m committed—for as long as it takes—to changing that narrative. There’s no secret to sustainable scaling. Read more>>

Honestly, the biggest project I’m committed to right now is the one I mentioned before — the search for my truest, deepest self. All of it. The light and the shadow. And then alchemising it into something meaningful and beautiful. For artists and creators, I genuinely believe that’s the ultimate path. Read more>>

Advocating for women with vitiligo like me—and hopefully tied to my company, Living Dappled. Someone recently asked me about an “exit plan” for Living Dappled and the question stunned me—because I’ve never thought about stopping. I got vitiligo when I was 7 years old and it took 100% of my skin’s pigment. It also fundamentally and dramatically changed the course of my life. Read more>>

I’ve always wanted to make films that bring people together, stories that create conversation, spark empathy, and plant a small seed of kindness that ripples outward. Something like a mitzvah, where one good act inspires another. I see storytelling as a form of connection and healing; it reminds us of our shared humanity. For me, filmmaking isn’t just about entertainment, it’s about impact. Read more>>

Now that I am no longer bound to producing work for a specific gallery, I feel liberated to follow my heart into projects that truly excite me – especially those my gallerist might once have resisted simply because they diverged from the body of work I created over the past decade.
