The Power of Persistence: Overcoming Haters and Doubters

Having hates is an inevitable part of any bold journey – everyone who has made a difference in the world has had doubters and critics. As natural as haters might be, in the age of social media it’s become harder and hard to ignore them – and so we asked some brilliant creatives and entrepreneurs to tell us how they deal with haters.

Well, first of all I really don’t care about the haters and nay-sayers and I’m not interested in what they have to say because their opinions don’t matter. I believe especially in the music and entertainment industry you have to build thick skin because you’ll hear everything you’re supposably doing wrong, you’re never going to make it and you’re not good enough. For me I use this as the fuel to my fire. I like to prove people wrong and truly succeed in whatever I’m doing. I also like a challenge, so whenever someone says that I can’t do something I go ahead and do it anyways. I like to go against the norms and do my own thing I’ve always been like that. For example, some people didn’t think I would graduate from College and University in which I did receive my Liberal Arts Diploma and International Relations BA Degree Honours. Also some people didn’t think I would release and do music and I have music out there that I’m very proud of. So I say keep going regardless of what people say and don’t let them or give them the time to occupy your mind. Read more>>

Dealing with haters and naysayers is an inevitable part of any creative journey. By staying true to myself, building a strong support network, and cultivating resilience, I am able to overcome negativity and continue to thrive. I won’t say it has been the easiest thing to do, because there are times I want to react. During those times, I remember, that my journey is unique, and my passion is what drives me forward. The key is stay focused on what I love and remind myself to let my success speak for itself. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Read more>>

Honestly, it’s not always easy dealing with haters and nay-sayers, but at Nerdy Cooks, we stay focused on our “why.” We’re all about teaching kids the science behind cooking and sparking their curiosity. That mission keeps us going. Being true to ourselves is also key. We know what we’re doing matters, and we see the joy and excitement it brings to the kids. So even when people doubt us, we stick to our values and keep pushing forward. It’s all about remembering the positive impact we’re making and staying passionate about our work. Read more>>

Persisting despite haters, especially in a competitive industry like real estate, requires a combination of mental strength, strategic action, and a deep understanding of my own motivations and goals. I manage to persist despite negativity, drawing from my experience as “The Face of SCV Real Estate” in Santa Clarita, CA From the beginning, I’ve had a clear vision of what I want to achieve: to become the recognized face of real estate in Santa Clarita. By keeping my eyes fixed on my long-term goals, the negativity and opinions of others become mere distractions. I remind myself daily why I started and what I’m working towards. My goals are bigger than the haters. I also leverage social media. Social media is a double-edged sword; it’s the platform that has helped me build my brand but also a place where negativity can thrive. I focus on leveraging social media to highlight the positive aspects of my work, showcase my successes, and connect with the community. By consistently delivering value through my content, I’ve built a loyal following that drowns out the negative voices. Read more>>

I persist by realizing that people are going to critique everything you do. Knowing that, I might as well be successful while they say what they have to say. Being unapologetically yourself and growing within that mindset helps fuel this mindset. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing good or bad, people will still talk, so I might as well win. Give them something to look at while I persist towards where I know where I’m going to be. Accepting the path towards being the best version of myself and not being bothered by what’s being said and who’s saying it. Every time someone judges or tries to critique me, God continues to bless me with the hope and future he has lined up for me. So why would I stop? People will look at the mistakes you’ve made on the outside, while God will look at your heart and your spirit and use what’s left of you to persist. You can always come back from anything as I’m a walking example. Read more>>

One rule I live by is to never let someone that gave up on their dreams, talk you out of yours. We live in an envious world now that seems to be full of jealousy. The ability for people to be truly happy to see others succeed has seemed to fade. In the entertainment industry especially, people like you as long as they can get something out of you. And when they find out you want be used then they turn on you. I have been a victim of cyber stalking and cyber bullying because of this. But I don’t pay attention to the nonsense. I just keep moving. And if anyone says they were your friend and allows nonsense to make them turn on you, then they were never for you anyone. Never get distracted and let your success prove who you are. Read more>>
