What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?

Coffee? Workouts? Hitting the snooze button 14 times? Everyone has their morning ritual and we LOVE hearing about them. Some of our favorite members of the community share their morning rituals below.

As an artist, my mornings are sacred — they set the tone for my entire creative flow. I usually wake up early, around 5:30 a.m., when everything is still quiet and peaceful. The first thing I do is take a few moments to pray and express gratitude — for life, for purpose, and for the gift of creativity. Read More>>

The first 90 minutes of my day are pretty ritualistic. I make coffee, check email and read the newspaper and a variety of political newsletters that I subscribe to. I am dedicated to staying informed about what is going around me, even when it makes me, frankly, sick. Read More>>

The moment I open my eyes I thank God for the day. I open my Bible and read a verse of the day as well as 3 chapters I’m working on reading the Bible in a full year I started on Christmas of last year. Read More>>

I tend to wake up very early (too early!) in the morning, so I usually get a couple of hours of work in before anyone else wakes up. That quiet stretch is when I focus on my “most important things” — the tasks that require deep thought and uninterrupted time. Read More>>

The first 90 minutes of my day are very intentional and set the tone for everything that follows. I usually start with a short meditation to clear my mind and center myself. Then, I spend some time reading and writing, whether it’s journaling or reflecting on what I’ve read, to engage my mind and spark creativity. Read More>>

I absolutely LOVE the first 90 minutes of my day. I get excited to go to bed so I can wake up and start my day. I 100% start with my coffee ritual around 6am. I have always been an early bird… sometimes I even get up earlier than 6am. Read More>>

On weekdays, I wake up at 3:20 a.m. so I can write before I catch the bus for work. In the first 90 minutes, I stretch briefly on the living room carpet, usually to the sound of my ‘cracking’ bones. I then drink hot water with apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda. Read More>>

The first 90 minutes of my day are my anchor, and they rarely look the same twice. What stays constant is rhythm. Before I open my laptop or step into client work, I ground my energy. Read More>>

I like to spend my mornings with a prayer and some journaling. From there I do some reading and researching for the day. I also prepare for the calls ahead. After the first hour or so I am ready to dive into what I call ‘core work’. Read More>>

I wake up and say one thing that I am grateful for. I walk my dog, then come home and meditate for 20 minutes. As I drive to work ,listening to meditational music, I keep repeating one thing that I want the most at the moment, as it already happened to me. Read More>>

I love to start my day by setting my intentions. My mornings are so special to me, and set the tone for my day. I always wake up extra early, and love to watch the sun come up on my back porch as much as my schedule allows. I’ve come to love breath work within the last year, and now it’s a daily practice.
