Nephateria Covington on Building Beauty Brands Rooted in Confidence, Self-Expression, and Inner Glow

Nephateria Covington is redefining beauty by blending outward expression with inner transformation through her brands Tai’Co Beauty and Her Glow. What began as a service-based business has evolved into a platform centered on confidence, healing, and self-love, where even small enhancements like a brighter smile can spark powerful emotional shifts. By creating spaces that celebrate both personal growth and individuality, Nephateria empowers women to embrace their journey fully — reminding them that true beauty is not just how you look, but how you feel, heal, and show up for yourself every day.

Nephateria, you’ve grown Tai’Co Beauty into more than just a service-based business. What inspired you to center it around confidence and self-expression?
What inspired me most was seeing how much confidence can change a person. Tai’Co Beauty started with tooth gems and teeth whitening, but over time I realized I wasn’t just helping people enhance their smiles — I was helping them feel seen, bold, and comfortable expressing themselves. Something as simple as a smile can completely shift someone’s energy. I wanted my business to feel empowering, fun, and personal, especially for women who may not always take time to pour back into themselves. Confidence and self-expression became the heart of the brand because beauty should never feel one-size-fits-all.

Tooth gems and teeth whitening are very visual transformations. How do you see these services impacting how your clients feel about themselves beyond appearance?
I’ve seen firsthand how these services impact people emotionally, not just physically. A brighter smile or a unique tooth gem may seem small to some, but for many clients it becomes a confidence boost they really needed. People walk in sometimes feeling insecure, stressed, or simply disconnected from themselves, and they leave smiling bigger, taking more pictures, and feeling more confident in social settings. It’s about helping someone reconnect with the version of themselves that feels beautiful, expressive, and worthy. That transformation goes much deeper than appearance.

Her Glow evolved from a book into a full lifestyle brand. What sparked that expansion, and how does it reflect your personal journey?
Her Glow became personal for me. What started as a book idea eventually grew into something bigger because I realized so many women are searching for healing, softness, peace, and self-love while trying to navigate life. I wanted Her Glow to become more than words on pages — I wanted it to become an experience and a reminder that women deserve to pour into themselves too. The expansion into candles, apparel, and lifestyle products reflects my own journey of growth, healing, rebuilding confidence, and learning how to embrace who I am unapologetically. Her Glow represents becoming the woman you’re growing into, even while you’re still healing.

You’re balancing both a beauty business and a self-love brand. How do you navigate building external beauty and internal confidence at the same time?
For me, the two naturally go together. External beauty can enhance how you feel, but internal confidence is what truly carries you. With Tai’Co Beauty, I help people feel good outwardly and express themselves creatively. With Her Glow, I focus on the emotional and personal side — healing, affirmations, self-care, and confidence from within. I think women deserve both. You can love beauty, enjoy luxury, and still prioritize healing and self-growth. I never want women to feel like they have to choose one or the other.

For women who are on their own journey of healing and self-discovery, what does “glowing from within” truly mean to you—and how do your brands help support that?
To me, glowing from within means finding peace with yourself, embracing your growth, and allowing yourself to evolve without shame. It’s learning that confidence isn’t just about appearance — it’s about how you speak to yourself, how you carry yourself, and how you choose yourself even after difficult seasons. My brands support that journey in different ways. Tai’Co Beauty helps women feel confident and expressive on the outside, while Her Glow reminds them to nurture what’s happening internally too. Together, both brands are about helping women feel empowered, feminine, confident, and worthy at every stage of their journey.
