What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?

We’ve been working on our publication and platform for almost a decade because we deeply believe that the world will be a far more empathetic and collaborative place if we all had the ability to know each other’s stories. The past decade has brought unimaginable challenges along the way, but we persevere because we believe this is mission worth never giving up on. We often are inspired by the folks we’ve featured and their commitment to their respective missions and so we asked some of them to talk to us about this very topic and have share some responses below.

I’m committed to the belief that trust and partnerships are the foundation for sustainable business growth. At AchieveUnite, we’ve been working on this for almost a decade now, and I’m incredibly proud to see how it’s evolved and the impact we’re having on companies. It’s not just a short-term project; it’s a lifelong mission, because when we get it right, everyone wins. Read more>>

I’ve always been into reality TV, especially dating shows like Love is Blind or Married at First Sight. I love the idea of people building real connections and putting physical attraction aside. I’ve often wondered what it would be like to see someone like me on the screen. That kind of representation is rare. Read more>>

I’m fully committed to my foundation, Arte Youth Program. Even when I start a family one day, I see myself still being deeply involved and I imagine my children being part of it too. I’m committed to my street art project, Da Race. It’s been evolving for years, traveling from New York City to Hong Kong and continuing to grow. For me, Da Race isn’t just about painting cars — it’s about energy, motion, and connection. It’s a celebration of life moving forward, no matter where you are. Read more>>

Creating art that I like has been my biggest source of fulfillment. When I am working on an art project that I think will be great, I put no limit to the amount of time it will take. One of my best drawings took four months to finish. Read more>>

The project that I’m most committed to—no matter how much time it takes—is getting Ignore: A Day in the Life of Jaycompleted and filmed. Initially, when I wrote the script, I envisioned it as a potential Broadway play or musical. After several edits, it evolved into something I thought could work as a limited series—something for Netflix, HBO, or one of the major streaming platforms. Read more>>

I’m committed to building STARDEX—a modular, emotionally resonant sci-fi saga born from a dream I’ve never forgotten. I was lying on an antique bed on a deserted beach, watching two twin stars—one amber, one silver—casting forked shadows across the ocean. Around me, something swirled: an ethereal presence, many presences. Then, flashes poured into my body—a feeling of enrichment and peace. Fantasy? Perhaps. Read more>>

I’m deeply committed to empowering women in business and manufacturing. It’s still an industry where women are underrepresented, and I want to help change that narrative. At Azenco, we’ve been intentional about building a diverse leadership team and creating opportunities for women to thrive in roles traditionally dominated by men. Read more>>

A core belief that drives me, and a project I’m committed to no matter how long it takes, is cultivating greater empathy and understanding among people. The belief I am committed to, no matter how long it takes, is that dance belongs to every body. I’ve seen firsthand how exclusion has shaped the dance world, and I’ve made it my life’s work to change that narrative. Tap for All is not just a program—it’s a movement. Read more>>
